Dear members of the press,
We, as non-governmental organizations and professional organizations in Ordu, believe that the most effective method against the Coronavirus epidemic that threatens the whole world and our country is self-regulation.
Those who lost their lives in this epidemic, which was seen in Wuhan, China in December and then spread rapidly to the world, are expressed in thousands, and those infected with the virus are expressed in hundreds of thousands. Unfortunately, these numbers are increasing geometrically.
It is known that the virus is infected by contact. That is why we have to comply with the hygiene conditions and social distance criteria, which are constantly repeated by the authorities. Most importantly, we must follow the social isolation rule and stay at home. We have to heed the warnings that one should not go out on the streets unless it is compulsory. Although it is partially known where and how the fought enemy will be transmitted, it cannot be seen. This situation makes the threat even more dangerous.
There is no doubt that there will be an economic cost to be isolated in this process. Some will lose their jobs, some may be deprived of income to meet their basic needs. In this case, our state stepped in and a “Vefa Social Support Group” was established within the governorships within the scope of combating coronavirus. This group quickly reaches those in need and meets their needs.
Our state is at the service of our nation with all its units and facilities with the statement and assurances of our esteemed governor, “If you are nobody, you have a state”. We believe that we will overcome these difficult days together and by following the rules.
“The coronavirus is not stronger than the measures you will take”
We are going through difficult days. The world and our country are struggling to exist and survive. Undoubtedly, the front line soldiers in this struggle are our healthcare workers. We offer our gratitude and gratitude to all our healthcare professionals and those working in the ancillary service branches that support them and greet them with respect.
We invite you to applause for our health work!
“Together we suffice each other, my Turkey”
In these difficult days, separation will not be intrusive and we will be together. We will reveal and share what we have by following the rules. We will abide by all the rules without exception, for our future today, which will not make any discrimination, political or personal.
Especially, we have seen what happened in China, and now we see what is happening in Italy and Spain. We call out once more to prevent this nightmare from getting deeper;
“STAYED AT HOME IN TURKEY”
“STAY AT HOME, MY ORDU”
“MAINTAIN, MY ORDU, YOUR DISTANCE”
