We are proud and happy to be celebrating the 104th anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which represents the will of the Turkish nation.
The work of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who unconditionally gave sovereignty to the nation, is our Veteran Assembly, the guarantee of the republic.
On April 23, 1920, this date was declared a “holiday” so that the enthusiasm of that day would last forever.
I congratulate the “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day”, which was gifted as a holiday to our children, the owners of these days and the guarantee of our future; I express my gratitude to the will that established and protected the republic.
