The meeting of ORKAP, consisting of its representatives, was attended by OSB President Murat ŞİMŞEK, UFK President Cem ŞENOCAK, Deputy Chairman of the KIB Board of Directors and Hazelnut Exporter Dursun Oğuz GÜRSOY, and Chairman of the Agricultural Chambers Coordination Board Arslan SOYDAN also participated and made valuable contributions. It has been decided that they will also be present at future meetings.
Our Board Chairman Ziver KAHRAMAN and our Secretary General Birol ÖZTÜRK, who runs the secretariat, attended the ORKAP meeting, which was held with the agenda “Hazelnut Market, Problems, and Permanent Measures.”
It was agreed that the problems in the hazelnut sector are not solely related to price, but that price is the result of a series of supply, demand, marketing, and structural issues, and that these problems can be solved through unity, strength, and cooperation. It was decided that ORKAP would continue its consultative presence in the city by expanding further.
