As part of the project to be implemented in the Fight Against Brown Stink Bugs, we signed a protocol as a project partner. Our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ziver KAHRAMAN, attended the ceremony, where our other project partners were also present.

The protocol for the “I Know My Enemy, I Take Precautions” Brown Stink Bug Control Education and Control Project, prepared by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, was signed at the Governor’s Office by Governor Muammer Erol, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Bayram Ay, Chairman of the Ordu Chamber of Agriculture Coordination Board Arslan Soydan, Chairman of the Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Levent Karlıbel, Chairman of the Ordu Commodity Exchange Ziver Kahraman, Chairman of the Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry İrfan Akar, Chairman of the Ünye Commodity Exchange Erhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gürsoy Agricultural Products Food Industry and Trade Inc. Within the scope of the project, which will be implemented in cooperation with the public sector, NGOs, and the private sector, effective training and publication activities covering this training are planned in 341 neighborhoods in the districts of Altınordu, Fatsa, Ünye, Perşembe, Gülyalı, and Ulubey, where the brown marmorated stink bug is prevalent.
Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Bayram Ay stated that, in order to ensure sustainability in hazelnut farming, efforts to combat the brown stink bug, which has affected the country’s agriculture, are being carried out effectively within the scope of the action plan prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. He added that, to this end, all methods, primarily integrated pest management, are being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry.
Ay stated that many products related to integrated pest management have been purchased using Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry resources for use in 2026, emphasizing that the most important issue here is that the fight is carried out effectively at the right time and with the right methods.
Meanwhile, training and publication activities will be carried out in cooperation with the Provincial and District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry and the Chambers of Agriculture.
The partners in the project are the Ordu Agricultural Chambers Coordination Board, the Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ordu Commodity Exchange, the Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ünye Commodity Exchange, Gürsoy Agricultural Products Food Industry and Trade Inc., Poyraz Poyraz Hazelnut Integrated Industry and Trade Inc., Şenocak Food Hazelnut Integrated Tourism Transportation Construction Industry and Trade Ltd. Co., and Karimex Food Industry and Foreign Trade Ltd. Co. will provide financial support for the implementation of the project.
