Young Entrepreneurs, led by Turgut KONUKOĞLU, Chairman of the TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council, gathered in our province on June 18, 2026, to hold the “Ordu Young Entrepreneurship Summit.”
As part of this event, the young entrepreneurs who visited our exchange were welcomed by your Board of Directors Chairman, Ziver KAHRAMAN, and our council members.
Our Board of Directors Chair welcomed our young entrepreneurs with the following words.
“I would like to begin by expressing my great pleasure in welcoming you to our institution on behalf of the Ordu Chamber of Commerce.
Welcome, everyone.
Today, we are not merely paying a visit; we are also gathering to discuss the future of production, trade, and entrepreneurship with the young minds who will shape our country’s economic future.
Throughout history, great transformations have begun with the dreams of those who dared to dream. And youth has always been the strongest bearer of these dreams. Because youth means energy, it means excitement, and it means an innovative perspective. The courage to think outside the box, the determination to take risks, and the power to lead change are youth’s most important assets.
This is precisely where entrepreneurship finds its meaning. The transformation of an idea into value, the turning of a dream into a business, and the generation of economic value by a startup are all made possible by the vision brought forth by young minds. When we look at the world’s largest companies, most innovative technologies, and most successful economic models today, we see that at the core of many of them lie dreams and bold steps taken in youth.
We know that the path to sustainable development lies not only in preserving existing capital but also in generating new capital. Capital accumulation, in turn, is built not only on financial resources but also on knowledge, education, experience, and human capital. That is why every investment made in our youth is the most valuable investment in our country’s future.
A small step taken today can grow into a major business tomorrow. A startup founded today can provide employment for hundreds of people years from now. An idea introduced today can lead the transformation of an entire industry in the future. Therefore, every seed sown during one’s youth emerges as the future’s productive power, investment capacity, and economic development.
As the city of Ordu, we also consider the spread of an entrepreneurial culture and the orientation of our youth toward production, trade, and innovative business models to be of the utmost importance. We believe that the agricultural, food, logistics, tourism, and industrial potential of our city will achieve even greater successes through the ideas of our young entrepreneurs.
The efforts carried out by the TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council across our country are making significant contributions to our youth’s stronger participation in economic life. On this occasion, I wholeheartedly believe that the “Ordu Young Entrepreneurs Summit,” organized by the Ordu Young Entrepreneurs Council, will also make significant contributions to the emergence of new ideas, the establishment of strong partnerships, and the encouragement of our youth.
Let us not forget that we can only be strong by building the future, not by waiting for it. And those who will build the future are the young people of today who dream, create, question, and take bold steps.
