Our members informed our exchange that analyses for aflatoxins, pesticides, mycotoxins, and other chemical contaminants are required for hazelnut exports, but our local laboratory is unable to perform these analyses, as it lacks the LC-MS/MS device, which costs around $250,000.
True to our exchange’s institutional culture, which has been providing uninterrupted service for 90 years under the motto “an institution that draws its strength from its members,” we immediately began our search.
The highly esteemed president of DOKAP, Mr. Hakan GÜLTEKİN, and our province’s bureaucrat, Dr. Ersin DİLBER, Director General of Food and Control, approached the issue with the same sensitivity as we did, and an evaluation and consultation was held regarding the acquisition of this device for our province’s Food and Control Laboratory Directorate through the cooperation of the two institutions.

On March 2, 2026, the procedure for the delivery of the device in 2026 was evaluated with the participation of the relevant parties, hosted by our exchange.
With the commencement of this service in our province;
- Analysis times will be reduced
- Time losses due to sample shipment will be eliminated
- Analysis costs will decrease
- Pre-shipment quality and suitability checks can be performed more quickly

We hope that this valuable device acquired by our laboratory will bring good fortune to our city and our country, and we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this effort. As the Ordu Commodity Exchange, we intend to undertake new projects with our serious and major partner, DOKAP.
As the Ordu Commodity Exchange, we continue to strive to fulfill our duties under the law within the scope of our authority.
